Frendex Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Muhammad Sulman Gull, trading as Techoship ("we", "us") for use of the Frendex app. By using Frendex you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.

1. What Frendex is — and is not

Frendex is a record-keeping tool. It remembers who paid for what, works out who owes whom, and shows you the result.

Frendex does not move money. We are not a bank, a payment processor, a money transfer service or an escrow agent. Marking a debt as settled in the app records that a payment happened somewhere else; it does not make one happen. Any actual payment between you and another person is entirely between the two of you.

Every figure in Frendex came from a person. Balances are arithmetic performed on what you and the people you share with have typed in. We do not verify that any expense is real, that any amount is correct, or that any payment was made.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. You are responsible for the account you sign in with and for what happens under it. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.

One person, one account. Do not impersonate anybody.

3. What you may not do

• Use Frendex for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or defraud anyone.
• Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, obscene, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Enter another person's private information without a reason to.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Use the service to build a competing product, or scrape it.

You can block anyone in the app. If someone is misusing Frendex, tell us at techoship.com/contact and we will look into it.

4. What you record

What you enter remains yours. You give us permission to store it, process it, and show it to the people you have chosen to share it with — which is what makes the app work, and nothing more. We do not use your content to advertise to you or sell it to anybody.

Remember that a shared ledger is shared. Anything you record in a group can be seen by the members of that group.

5. Subscriptions

Frendex is free to use with some limits. Frendex Premium removes them and adds further features. Subscriptions are sold through Google Play.

• Payment is taken by Google Play, not by us. We never see your card details.
• A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
• Cancel or manage it in your Google Play account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
• Refunds are handled by Google under Google Play's refund policy.
• Promotional codes may be limited in time, quantity and eligibility, and carry no cash value.

If a subscription lapses, your data stays. You keep everything you recorded; you simply return to the free limits.

We may change what is included in Premium, or its price. Existing subscribers will be told in advance and price changes take effect only on renewal.

6. Disputes between users

Disagreements about who owes what are between the people involved. We are not a party to them, we cannot adjudicate them, and we will not take sides.

Frendex keeps a history of edits to an expense so that a disagreement can be settled by looking at the record rather than by memory. Everyone who can see an expense can see that it was edited, by whom and when. Seeing exactly what changed is a Premium feature.

7. Availability

We try to keep Frendex running and correct, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of it. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give reasonable notice and time to export your data.

8. Ending it

You can stop using Frendex at any time and delete your account from inside the app.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where required by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.

9. No warranty

Frendex is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for any financial loss arising from a figure recorded in the app being wrong, missing, or disputed.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, if the change is significant, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Frendex after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction — except where the law of your home country gives you the right to bring a claim there.
