This Privacy Policy explains how Focusara handles your information when you use our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices.

Information We Collect

Focusara is built with a privacy-first philosophy. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers. All information you enter into the app stays entirely on your device.

Focus session history and timer preferences
Habit definitions, schedules, and completion records
Health tracking entries including water intake, weight, sleep logs, blood pressure, heart rate, glucose levels, body temperature, and nutrition data
Breathing exercise session records and preferences

Focusara does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal identification to use the app.

How We Use Information

Since all data remains on your device, "use" in this context refers exclusively to how the app processes your data locally:

To display your focus session history and statistics
To track and visualize your habit streaks and completions
To present health trends and progress charts based on your entries
To guide breathing exercise sessions with your preferred settings
To store and organize your journal entries for personal reflection
To generate local notifications and reminders based on your configured schedules
To calculate and display aggregated statistics and insights from your data

No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party for processing. All computations and data operations happen entirely on your device.

Data Storage

All data generated within Focusara is stored locally on your device using an embedded SQLite database (via the Drift library). This means:

Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it
There are no cloud backups or server-side storage of your information
If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted
You have full control over your data at all times

Data Export and Import

Focusara provides a user-initiated data export feature that allows you to save your data as a JSON file. This export is triggered only by your explicit action and the resulting file is saved to a location you choose on your device. Similarly, you may import previously exported data back into the app. Neither the export nor the import process involves any external server or network transmission.

Notifications

Focusara uses local notifications to deliver reminders and alerts you have configured (such as focus session reminders, habit reminders, or hydration prompts). These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely by your device's operating system. No notification data is sent to or processed by any external push notification service.

Data Sharing

Focusara does not share any of your data with third parties. Specifically:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
We do not use any third-party services that collect user data
There are no social features or data-sharing mechanisms within the app
No data is transmitted over the internet during normal app usage

The only scenario in which your data leaves the app is when you explicitly use the data export feature to create a local file on your device. What you do with that exported file is entirely under your control.

Children's Privacy

Focusara does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any personal information from any user and does not require account creation or identification, there is no mechanism through which children's personal data could be gathered or stored beyond the device itself.

The health tracking features within the app are intended for general wellness purposes and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Parents or guardians should supervise the use of health-related features by minors.

Your Rights and Choices

Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete and direct control over it:

Access: You can view all your data directly within the app at any time
Export: You can export your complete data set as a JSON file whenever you choose
Deletion: You can delete individual entries within the app, or remove all data by uninstalling the application
Portability: The JSON export format ensures your data is portable and not locked into our app

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
