Marketplace app development for two-sided platforms

Marketplaces that match two sides and take a cut — staffing, services, restaurants, venues and carpooling — with payments, ratings and trust built in.

Starting from
$14,000
Both sides, admin console and payments. Fixed quote after a free scoping call.
Typical timeline
10–16 weeks to a first release

Marketplaces are the kind of product we have built most: a hospitality staffing platform, a services marketplace for trades and remote work, a restaurant platform, a local venue discovery app and an intercity carpooling app.

Every marketplace has the same hard problems underneath — getting both sides to show up, building trust between strangers, moving money safely, and automating the operations so the platform runs without someone watching it. We have solved each of them more than once.

What you get

  • Apps for both sides of the marketplace
  • Listings, search, matching and booking
  • Payments, commission and payouts (Stripe Connect)
  • Ratings, reviews and verification
  • Messaging and notifications
  • Admin console for disputes and moderation
  • Scheduled automation that keeps the platform active

How we work

  1. 1

    Free scoping call

We talk through what you are building, who it is for and what has to be true on day one. You leave with a recommended approach and a budget range.

  2. 2

    Design the transaction

How the two sides meet, agree and pay — and how the platform earns — decided before any screens are built.

  3. 3

    Written plan and fixed quote

Screens, features and integrations written down in plain language, with a fixed price and timeline for the first release — so there are no surprises.

  4. 4

    Build both sides

Each side's app and the admin console, against one backend.

  5. 5

    Launch one market first

A single city or category, so liquidity builds before you expand.

Frequently asked questions

Commission or subscription — how should a marketplace earn?

Commission works when the platform handles the payment; a subscription works when the two sides settle between themselves. Our services marketplace uses a subscription for exactly that reason. We will help you choose before anything is built.

How do you handle payments between users?

Usually with Stripe Connect, which handles onboarding, payouts and compliance for each side, so the platform never holds money it should not.

Do I own the code?

Yes. You own the source code, designs and accounts from day one — repositories, app store listings and cloud projects are set up in your name, not ours.

What happens after launch?

We fix anything that was ours to get right at no charge, then offer ongoing support and development on a monthly basis if you want it. Nothing locks you in: the code is documented and yours to take elsewhere.
